Jon wrote these songs "with a lot of help from Tom" in summer 2001 during a two week stay in a remote house in Devon, called "Blackdown". Over the few months that followed, I developed these arrangements and produced these recordings. They were eventually released on CD in 2004 by www.tiger.ltd.uk on the album "Water & Wine".

After several years of electrified rock (The Press, Big Boat, Angel Train), we finally unplugged. This remains one of my most memorable sessions, recorded more or less live in a day, on 4-track cassette, in the Herfordshire farm house where Toby was living.
